The light table is the product
A moodboard JPEG that looks fine as a 200 px icon can fall apart at 1600 px. A compressed catalogue can muddy a skin tone you will only notice on the wall. If the tool makes you download first, you are working blind.
On Pdfmira the job develops in front of you: a full-plate preview, then the file. Guest flow, no badge. The account is for the roll of past jobs and a paid stock — after you have seen that the plate is worth keeping.
What to look at, not what to believe
Check type edges on PNG, skin on JPEG, halos on WebP, unexpected white where alpha died. Check that page 3 is actually page 3. If the preview lies, the download will not save you: write from Contact with the error on the plate.
Watermark a draft before it leaves the studio if the PDF is a preview for a client. It is a diagonal line, not a legal lock. Rights live in the brief, not in pixels.
How this issue is meant to be read
From the cover, open the tools index, pick a spread, read a Studio essay if the brief is visual, then Help for retention and guest rules, then Rates if the free sheet is too thin. No comparison farm, no fake sister brands in the colophon.
Files expire: about an hour on the free sheet, up to a day on paid plans. This magazine is not a DAM. Keep your masters.
